Rehoming Kai ‘changed new owner’s life’
Kai the Shar-pei cross-breed was found alone and whining, tied to a railing with a suitcase in January. He was rescued by the Scottish SPCA and after offers flooded in from all over the world he was rehomed with Ian Russell, 52, last month.
The hydraulics engineer from Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire, said: “I would say it’s been a life-changing experience for both of us and it’s sent my life in a whole new direction.

“We’re always together, everywhere I go he comes with me. He comes to work with me every day in my van and I go all over the country so it’s really good for him and he loves it.”
Mr Russell’s last dog of 15 years, Mica, died just before Christmas.
