Scottish independence: Alexander keen on TV debate
DANNY Alexander, the most senior Scot in the UK Parliament, has challenged First Minister Alex Salmond for a TV showdown on the independence debate.
The Inverness MP and Chief Secretary said he was eager to have a live discussion with Mr Salmond ahead of the referendum in a head-to-head in the Highland capital.
Prime Minister David Cameron has already rejected a TV debate with the Scottish leader, claiming it was a matter for Scots.
