£100,000 boost for Lockerbie trust
It comes after George Osborne’s visit to Lockerbie with Dumfriesshire Tory MP and Scotland Office minister David Mundell.
The cash will help to pay for two students from Lockerbie to take-up year-long scholarships at Syracuse University in New York State. There were 35 Syracuse University students on the Pan Am 103 flight that exploded over Lockerbie in 1988.

Hide AdThe Lockerbie-Syracuse Scholarship Trust scholarship was created in memory of those who lost their lives, both in the Scottish town and from the university.
Mr Mundell said: “The Chancellor was impressed by the work of the trust.”
The Scottish Government last year said it would give £60,000 to the trust as part of its efforts to mark the 25th anniversary of the disaster.
