In an interview with STV’s Spotlight programme, Ms Sturgeon was also asked about her relationship with her predecessor Alex Salmond.
Ms Sturgeon denied that Mr Salmond was still pulling the strings in the SNP, but said she can always go to him for advice.

Ms Sturgeon said there was “an understandable curiosity” about the couple’s family life, but added that Alex Salmond was rarely asked about his lack of children.
Mr Murrell, the SNP’s chief executive, added that his wife gets asked a lot of questions that would not be asked of a man.
Ms Sturgeon said: “Alex Salmond doesn’t have children. He might tell you differently, but I’m not aware of reading an interview or seeing an interview with Alex Salmond being asked that question.”
She added: “I’m not moaning about this, but it’s just one of these things that I think is just a bit different if you’re a woman in politics.”
Mr Murrell added: “It’s just one of those questions that a female politician gets asked. A man would never get asked about clothes or hair or something else. It’s just different.”
The couple were shown in Totty Rocks, a fashion store that supplies Ms Sturgeon with outfits.
