Labour MP charged with Yes voter attack in Glasgow
Marie Rimmer, 68, allegedly assaulted Patricia McLeish at the entrance to Shettleston Community Centre in Glasgow’s east end last year.
The St Helens MP also faces a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on September 18, by repeatedly approaching campaign volunteers and by pointing her finger in the face of Dennis Ashcroft.

The case against Rimmer called yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court almost exactly 12 months after the alleged incident. Ms Rimmer was not present.
A letter from her solicitor asked for the matter to be continued and the sheriff granted the request and continued the case without any plea being entered, until next month.
