Police hunt knife robber after raid on bookies
A KNIFE-wielding thug is being hunted by police after robbing a city-centre bookies.
The robber struck at 8.20pm on Wednesday at the William Hill premises in Bernard Street, when a 46-year-old man was working alone within the store. The man produced a knife and demanded money from the till be placed into a black USC cloth bag.
The suspect, who was wearing a black snood and was said to be in his early 20s, made off towards Baltic Street with a three-figure sum. Officers have issued a call for information.
