MP needs to explain tax powers stance
Quite apart from the fact that the Scottish Government has provided significant supporting documentation on the matter, a fact that Gauke seeks to dismiss, it is the UK government that has continually failed to provide clear evidence as to why devolving tax powers to Edinburgh wouldn’t work.
Other than anecdotal claims and bungling Scottish Secretary Michael Moore’s rather hypocritical “six questions”, it is Gauke & Co who must explain their position. And while they’re at it, it would be useful if they could explain the rationale behind the ludicrous 10p tax proposals in the Scotland Bill.

Hide AdIt seems to me that while the SNP is spending considerable time and effort on exploring the options available to us, presenting them with working and supporting information, the Tory/Liberal Democrat government in London is simply trotting out the same old negative and unproven propaganda. Far from sleepwalking into independence, Scots are increasingly waking up to the lack of respect and downright contempt that so many of these London-based politicians hold for both Scotland and Scottish interests.
Support for the SNP and independence is increasing; is it any wonder why?
