Letter: Scottish appeal
It could be seen as just another small nation with bountiful oil resources in its waters, whisky abundant (or should that be galore?), secret little coastal nooks where atomic submarines can hide away, of solid industrial, engineering, commercial, financial experience in its population and hence a skilled workforce, etc - yes and recognised computing skills.
What a fine little nation for the two predators to eye up!
Ach, maybe that's the problem for Scotland seeking to control its own affairs - it has too many assets. Why didn't I think of that before?
