It is unclear whether the instruments will be allowed inside stadiums at the games.
They have already been banned from UEFA competitions and Olympic Games 2012 chief Sebastian Coe does not want them at the event in London.
In India, fears have also been raised.
Games executive board member Vijay Kumar Malhotra said: ""It will disturb our players."
A spokeswoman for Team Scotland said: "The organisers must be mindful of the needs of the athletes."
