A MAN was rescued early today after falling 30ft down a riverbank in Dalkeith.
Fire and rescue crews were called to the scene at the River Esk behind houses in the town’s High Street just after 2.30am.
A line rescue team reached the man, believed to be in his mid-40s, who was on a ledge, and brought him up on a stretcher.
The ambulance service said the man was uninjured but found to be suffering from hypothermia and was taken by to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
