Learner was twice limit
A LEARNER driver stopped while more than twice the drink-drive limit has been banned from the road for a year.
Michael Ellis was caught behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra near his home in Armadale, West Lothian, Livingston Sheriff Court was told.
Ellis, 19, pleaded guilty to driving with 74 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – more than twice the 35mg limit. He was also fined £335 by Sheriff Martin Edington.
