Housing and Transport Minister Keith Brown was surrounded by local youngsters as he switched on the Christmas lights at a special event to mark the completion of a ten-year project to regenerate the site of the former Craigmillar Primary School.
The £14 million project by Castle Rock Edinvar housing association has transformed the building into SPACE, a thriving social enterprise and arts centre, and the old school playground now hosts 83 energy-efficient affordable homes with landscaped grounds.
