Kate may have winning touch
AN EDINBURGH University graduate has been shortlisted for a £1,000 Shell LiveWIRE's Grand Ideas award after developing a business which allows people to scrap traditional computer keyboards in favour of multi-touch screens.
Kate Ho, 28, started her Newington-based business Interface3. after submitting her PhD in computer science four months ago.
She impressed judges with her idea to create "customer facing" retail finance sector software using multi-touch technology.
