Gordon Proctor: Car found after 'extensive searches' as police renew appeals to trace missing 65-year-old from East Renfrewshire
Gordon Proctor, 65, was last seen in his home area of Netherlee in East Renfrewshire at around 11.15am on Tuesday, July 6.
His white Renault Kadjar car has since been found in the Turnberry area in South Ayrshire and searches have been ongoing in the area.

Hide AdMr Proctor is described as being 6 foot tall and of slim build with short brown hair.
He was wearing a lilac polo shirt, a blue jumper and cream shorts.
Sergeant Steven Woodley of Ayr Police Station said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Gordon’s welfare as time passes.
“Extensive search activity has been carried out around the Turnberry area and other police enquiries aimed at tracing him are ongoing. It is out of character for him to be out of contact with his family for so long and we are keeping them informed as our enquiries continue.
“We would urge anyone who believes they may have seen Gordon at any time since the early afternoon of Tuesday, 6 July to get in touch as a matter of urgency.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting incident 2460 of 6 July.”
Police Scotland has Missing Person Coordinators (MPCs) in every local division in the country.
MPCs support and oversee all missing person investigations.
Police Scotland says MPCs ensure missing persons have the “correct level of support” once they are found.
