Paisley muder inquiry: Investigation after death of a 47-year-old man John Dalziel following fire on Whites Bridge Avenue
At around 10.05 pm on Thursday, May 6, police were called to a report of a fire in a property on Whites Bridge Avenue in the town.
John Dalziel, 47, was found inside with serious injuries and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.However, he died a short time later.
Officers are treating his death as murder.

Hide AdInquiries so far have revealed that there were a number of people around at the time, some of whom may have responded to the fire in the property.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who has not already spoken to police.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Grainger, of the Major Investigation Team, said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened and our thoughts are very much with the family of Mr Dalziel at this difficult time for them.
“If anyone saw anything or heard anything before or after the incident that might help with our investigation then I would urge them to come forward, no matter how insignificant you might think the information is.”
Police Scotland has set up a website that gives members of the public access to a form to send information directly to the Major Investigation Team
