'Black Swan' health warning
PEOPLE inspired to slip on a pair of ballet shoes after seeing the film Black Swan have been warned they could damage their feet.
Experts said the shoes offered so little support they put pressure on the knees, hip and back.
They also issued a warning over "ballet flats" - a popular purchase on the high street.

Hide AdThe lack of heel and strap means the slippers should only be worn for short periods, the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists said.
"Professional dancers are no strangers to the perils of ballet shoes," said Lorraine Jones, a podiatrist from the society.
