1,500 litres of milk spilled on M8 after crash
FIREFIGHTERS rushed to tackle an early morning milk spillage after 1,500 litres was tipped onto the M8 following a crash between a lorry and a van.
The huge spillage, which occurred between Junctions 2 and 3 in West Lothian, was cleared up buy fire using specially absorbent granules.
As a result the east-bound carriageway was closed for almost four hours following the 2.45am crash
Four appliances attended the scene and a man was taken to St John’s Hospital in Livingston with minor injuries.
The other driver refused to go to hospital.
