Coronavirus in Scotland: Visits to Hawick Community Hospital and care homes in the town suspended as outbreak continues to spread
A coronavirus outbreak in Hawick has seen visits to Hawick Community Hospital and care homes in the town suspended.
It comes as NHS Borders confirmed two Morrisons supermarket workers tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of positive cases associated with the outbreak to 13.

Hide AdThe Morrisons store remains open despite the confirmed virus cases, with the building having undergone a deep clean.
Test and protect staff are continuing to contact identified staff members who may be affected by the outbreak, with close contacts being advised to self-isolate and being given appropriate advice.
Earlier in the week, health chiefs confirmed that customers from The Trinity Bar and Baguette ’n’ Go had tested positive for Covid-19.
It is not known when the local pub and sandwich shop are likely to reopen.
NHS Borders say that none of the 13 Covid-19 cases in the town are causing them any clinical concern.
They added that the risk of catching coronavirus in Hawick is low, but urged locals to be extra vigilant.
