Composting firm TEG wins £2m contract in Perth
Organic waste specialist TEG Group has won a contract to compost food and garden rubbish for Perth and Kinross Council.
The group’s facility at Glenfarg in Perthshire will use a combination of “in vessel composting” (IVC) and anaerobic digestion (AD) to deal with up to 25,000 tonnes of food and green waste a year.
The contract starts this month and is for an initial two-year term. The company says it is worth between £1.8 million and £2m, with a potential option to extend the deal for a further two years.
