Skyscraper site may be home to utility
Utility ScottishPower is eyeing plans to build a new headquarters building in central Glasgow on a site previously allocated to the city’s tallest skyscraper.
The 200,000 sq ft building, designed to house 2,000 employees, could be constructed on the so-called Elphinstone Tower site, which is in the Charing Cross area between the Whyte & Mackay headquarters and the M8.
A shortlist of ten developers is thought to have been drawn up by ScottishPower, all of which have signed confidentiality agreements to protect details of their designs.
