The Edinburgh-based firm, which has 14 offices and employs more than 300 staff, already has an office in the Borders town but is now adding the call centre to cope with increased demand for its services. The base will be the company’s third call centre.
Bowyer takes over IoD’s Aberdeen arm
OIL industry veteran Mike Bowyer was yesterday named as the chairman of the Aberdeen branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD) in Scotland.

Hide AdBowyer, a former industry relations director at Halliburton and ex-acting chief operating officer at Senergy, succeeds Ken McEwen, who has served as the IoD branch chairman for the past four years. Bowyer is currently a director at consultancy firm Nexcor.
Tea distributor eyes foreign expansion
A TEA distributor based in Edinburgh hopes to expand overseas after being selected to represent Britain at a cultural event in Japan.
Eteaket, which has a single tea room on Frederick Street but also sells its speciality teas online and on a wholesale basis to top restaurants, will have two “pop up” shops at department stores as part of British Fair 2012, which this year uses “Scotland” as its theme.
