Glasgow Queen St station revamp reveals old signs
The signs, appearing to be handpainted, carry the names of suburban stations on the network, such as Jordanhill and Alexandra Parade.
Built prior to the Glasgow Subway, the Low Level line between the High Street, Queen Street and Charing Cross is the oldest underground railway in the city.

Hide AdPlatforms 8 and 9 at Queen Street comprise the lower level station - the most central stop on the city’s suburban North Clyde line.
Although currently catering for local services, the lower level was put forward as a possible alternative while renovation work was carried out at Queen Street.
