The 69-year-old actor, who recently won a Golden Globe for resuming his role of Rocky Balboa in Creed, was also nominated for an Oscar on 14 January.

Alicia Vikander, who stars opposite Eddie Redmayne in The Danish Girl, was named best supporting actress for her role as the wife of a transgender artist.
She said: “I remember two years ago when I found myself on this film, I was trying to find information online and elsewhere and was surprised I couldn’t find enough about this incredible couple. So I was incredibly grateful when I was invited to bring light to this story about two pioneering women who went on this journey together.”
