Maria Sharapova has not been handed a wild card into this year's French Open, tournament organisers have announced on Facebook.
The former Wimbledon champion recently returned to tennis followng a 15-month doping ban for using meldonium.
She is playing in the Italian Open in Rome this week, and is guaranteed at least a place in Wimbledon qualifying after winning her first round match. She could yet earn a place in the main draw depending on how well she does in Rome.
