Scott and Blackley part company with Stirling

Stirling Albion’s poor run of results in the Second Division, which culminated in a 4-1 home defeat by Airdrie United on Saturday, led last night to a parting of the ways with their management team of Jocky Scott and John Blackley.

The duo have only been in place since January of this year. However the Doubletree Dunblane side sit at the bottom of the division just a few months after being relegated, and following a run of seven defeats including a Scottish Cup exit at the hands of Scott’s former club, Dundee, their time in charge has come to an end.

Scott has previously been in charge of Dundee on three occasions, as well as being the joint manager of Aberdeen alongside Alex Smith. He also had spells at the helm of Dunfermline, Arbroath, Notts County and Raith Rovers.
