Boris Johnson: Jennifer Arcuri speaks out of 'four-year affair' with Prime Minister

Boris Johnson’s ex-lover Jennifer Arcuri has told the Sunday Mirror that the Prime Minister is ‘never going to change’ as his romantic history is rife with love affairs.

In an interview with the Sunday Mirror she said: “It does start with his eyes, and every one of his actions shows us exactly who he is. Let’s stop pretending this is somebody else hiding behind.

“This is who he is and it’s about time we recognised that. It breaks my heart because it’s not like I’m here to throw him under the bus.”

Businesswoman Jennifer Arcuri spoke for the first time about how she fell in love with the Prime Minister during a four-year affair, while he was Mayor of London.

The American businesswoman told the paper they first slept together hours before the opening of the 2012 London Paralympics.

She revealed they met up once a week at the height of the affair and that she “loved him”.

Arcuri said the affair lasted from 2012 to 2016 when Boris Johnson was married to now ex-wife Marina Wheeler, mother of their four children.

In 2019, Johnson became the first Prime Minister to move in to Number 10 with a girlfriend, former Conservative head of communications Carrie Symonds who, at 33, is 23 years his junior and now mother to their son Wilfred.

A biographer once described Johnson, who ruffles his dishevelled hair ahead of appearances as “one of the great flatterers of our times,” something Jennifer Arcuri echoes in her interview.

Johnson married Oxford University girlfriend Allegra Mostyn-Owen in 1987 when they were both 23, however she described their wedding day as “the end of the relationship, rather than the beginning”.

Their marriage lasted just five years and she agreed to a divorce in April 1993. The two remained on good terms with Allegra saying: “He’s a better ex than husband.”
