New Rangers midfielder Bongani Zungu reveals he 'studied' team mates ahead of move to 'global club'
And the midfielder has used the time wisely – studying up on his new team-mates during lockdown in South Africa.
Zungu said he was delighted to sign on at Ibrox and join ‘a global club’, and has the option to make his stay permanent at the end of the season-long loan deal.

Hide AdHe said: “I can’t wait to fly to Scotland and meet my new team mates. I know that I will settle in Glasgow and am looking forward to getting started as soon as possible.
“I really want the fans to be proud of my performances and will always give 100 per-cent for my new team.”
Sporting director Ross Wilson, said the SPFL Premiership leaders had monitored the South African international throughout the summer but that coronavirus restrictions had made a move earlier in the transfer window difficult.
With time ticking by on a move Zungu has used the delay to learn about his new team-mates.
He told the club’s website: “I have studied the squad and feel I can come in and bring my attributes to help the team improve. The chance to play for such a big club especially in European competitions is very exciting for me.
“Rangers is a global club and I know there are already many supporters across Africa. I am looking forward to playing in front of a big crowd and audiences across the world.”
Manager Steven Gerrard and Wilson both echoed the player’s delight in their comments on the new signing.
