Iain Davidson last night joined Dundee then revealed he turned down a bumper deal at Raith Rovers to pursue his SPL dream at Dens Park.
The Rovers skipper signed a pre-contract with Barry Smith’s promotion hopefuls by putting pen to paper on a one-year deal after the Kirkcaldy club pulled out all the stops to keep their inspirational captain.

Hide AdDavidson admitted it was a wrench to leave Stark’s Park but insisted the lure of potential top-flight football was more important that the opportunity to cash in at Raith. He said: “I was made a two-year offer to stay at Raith as well as a testimonial. But this is all about ambition. Dundee are the biggest club in the First Division.”
