“After evening rain eastern parts may see good shelter. A mild night, particularly across England and Wales.”

Tuesday (10 March) will see rain and drizzle clear southwards for most, but it will stay cloudy with drizzle in the far south of the UK, where it will be very mild.

It will be brighter and colder in the north with scattered showers, and windy.

The Met Office UK outlook for Wednesday to Friday explains: “Rather cold with showers or longer spells of rain, falling as snow on hills, especially in the north. Often windy. Probably drier with more prolonged sunny spells on Friday.”
